Mr. Bruce Shepherd - compensation for the fees formerly paid to the Official Receiver in Bankruptcy, which were paid into the treasury. After consulting the Chief Justice, I am now of opinion that the allowance should be fixed at $40 a month, which is about the average amount of the fees collected during the last year. I do not think, however, that the allowance should carry compensation for exchange with it, nor be payable at the sterling rate when the officer entitled to it is on leave of absence.
